Our Family Vacation - outfits and review of our stay in Panama City Beach over spring break

Spring Break was a severely needed getaway for our family. We had been so busy and were really looking forward to some warmer weather and fun family time together.  We drove down to Panama City Beach, FL for the kids spring break week and has so much fun. It was relaxing and the beaches are absolutely amazing! It felt so nice to spend time outdoors enjoying the sun with nothing on our to-do list!

The beaches here were incredibly beautiful, just as promised!  We had such a good time soaking up the sun and playing in the waves.  It was also a short drive to some famous beaches in 30A.

This was my comfy travel outfit for our day of driving.  I couldn't wait to appropriately wear sandals : ) so I chose my new favs these slides.  I go down a size to a 6 in these.  These Dance Studio Joggers I've had for a couple years now and they are always a go to comfy fit. I'm wearing a size 4 which is my normal jogger size at Lululemon.  And the sweatshirt, I actually borrowed from the men's side of Lululemon and its a favorite as well.  The City Sweat Crew is lightweight and super soft.  I'm wearing a men's small.

This was a family spring break trip so I had a few helpers in my selfies along the way.  : )

The first day were were in Panama City Beach was a little rainy and cold so we went shopping!  Pier Park was very near and had tons of shopping spots as well as restaurants to choose from. The girls ended up finding a couple of cute new things at American Eagle and Old Navy.

Sierra found 2 new pairs of shorts at American Eagle. She was looking for something "loose fitting" and these were it! She went down a size in both to a 2 as these both ran on the larger side.

And the girls each found a new dress at Old Navy. These were both adorable and very reasonably priced!

Two days before we left I suddenly remembered that I had no idea if the boys board shorts still fit them from last year or not. So after quickly discovering that they both had nothing that currently fit them AMAZON PRIME came to the rescue. I ordered these 2 suits for the boys and they arrived just in time!

We spent most of our days playing in the sunshine!  This amazing gauzy button down top or cover up quickly became a new favorite.  Breezy and easy, it works perfectly as a cover up as it has great length to keep you covered.  I'm wearing it over my favorite suit, click here for the top and bottom both in an XS.  And my favorite slides worked perfectly in the sand and salty ocean.
I also plan to wear this top with shorts and jeans.  It would be cute left long and loose over shorts and a tank top or tied up with a pair of jeans. It comes in several colors, I'm eyeing the mint and pink, and I'm wearing an XS which has plenty of room and it has not shrunk in the wash.

We rented a pontoon boat for half a day (4 hours, which was plenty) and that was one of our favorite parts of the trip. We drove around looking for dolphins and checking out the area and also spent time walking along shell island where the 2 younger kids had great fun finding tons of hermit crabs.

We also spent one morning at all the tourist trap stores around the area.  The kids wanted to spend some money! ;)  I wore these iconic Parker Shorts. These shorts are the PERFECT denim cutoff you've always been searching for. This pair is a medium color and has some distressing. I sized down from my normal short size to a 25, I think they will loosen up a bit with wear.  My top no longer comes in this pink but there are still several fun color options available.  My trusty Belt Bag and Birkenstocks completed this look.

This set from Target also quickly became a new favorite as a cover up but I could also wear both of the pieces individually!  Top and bottom are both a soft gauzy fabric and perfect for the beach.  I chose the XS in both pieces.  This hat was also borrowed from the men's side.  : ) It made a perfect topper to avoid sunshine overload.  The yellow beach bag is also from Target and was a surprise essential that we used the entire trip. It is made of mesh fabric so sand was easy to dump out and was a perfect size for holding all our towels and sunscreen.  It also felt very sturdy and held up well with all that I stuffed inside. It comes in several other colors that I now have on order for gifts! It will be fun to fill them with some special items and give away.

And speaking of sunscreen and bags this is the ICKY Bag (medium size) that we use for our collection of sunscreen bottles.  If you don't know I also own a small business on Etsy and PETUNIAS' ICKY Bags are my most popular item. I have one of my hand ice dyed ICKY Bags that I'm using here but they also come in many patterns, colors and there is a personalized option here and here.

This was my favorite outfit for the trip. Super easy to style, looks put together, and still feels like you are wearing pajamas...TOTAL WIN!  This Hot Shot Onesie comes in a ton of colors, is oversized and can be styled all kinds of fun and funky ways. I'm wearing in an XS. One of these may not be enough! I'm wearing a high neck tank underneath, but it would also work as a swim cover up, with a short or long sleeve top underneath and obviously you can add layers on top like a fleece or denim jacket too!

We enjoyed many beautiful sunsets along the beach!  This was our last night of vacation and is was CRAZY windy but so fun to take a walk out on the pier and marvel and the monstrous waves! These affordable high neck tanks are going to be staple this summer and I bought them in several colors; white, black, grey and lavender!  And introducing my new favorite jeans.  It takes a lot for a pair of jeans to become a favorite for me as I am very picky. These have a perfect 90s loose fit that I had been searching for. I sized down to a 24 so they weren't quite as loose but I'm still hoping they stretch just a touch in the future.

We had such a wonderful time in Panama City Beach.  The beaches were beautiful and we were able to relax as a family. I always look forward to the warm weather and need some sunshine after along winter! One of my favorite memories from this trip was walking along the shore with my two girls making all kinds of great shell finds!  We had so much fun strolling along slowly and sharing each "perfect" new shell we found and picked up.
